Bonded Nylon
This thread is produced from high tenacity continuous filament nylon yarn. It is encapsulated in a high performance solution giving the thread a tough protective surface coating which is highly resistant to abrasion and prevents filaments untwisting and splitting during complex stitching patterns. The thread also resists mildew, rot, perspiration, sea water and weak alkalis.
Once bonded and lubricated this thread performs admirably in many industrial sewing operations of a more strenuous nature including footwear, leather goods, plastics, mountaineering equipment, webbings, upholstery and similar end uses where sewing difficulties can often be encountered.
Worthington's bonded nylon is offered in a standard shade range, however special shades can be dyed upon request.
