DESCRIPTION
Worthington braided cords are produced from high tenacity continuous multi-filament Nomex yarn, supplied by Du Pont. Nomex is a Du Pont registered trademark.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS
Excellent resistance to abrasion and micro-organisms. Nomex is resistant to hydrocarbons, organic
solvents; weak acids and bases. Nomex does not burn or fuse. It is thermo stable until 240°C and
carbonises at 370°C. Nomex is sensitive to strong acids, strong alkalis at elevated temperatures and U. V light.
