T469 PTFE
PTFE is non-flammable. It melts with decomposition, losing its fibre properties reverting to mass form at 327°C.
It has excellent chemical stability and can be boiled in aqua regia, mineral acids and concentrated caustic soda without decomposing. It has greater chemical resistance and will withstand higher temperatures than any other synthetic fibres which makes it ideal for liquid filtration, particularly of corrosive mixtures.
